LGSC Statement of Support

The Leafy Greens Safety Coalition (LGSC) member companies along with Stop Foodborne Illness fully support the FDA call to action on produce safety that is highlighted in the Reagan Udall Foundation report.

The LGSC members believe that industry collaboration with all stakeholders is the way forward to drive the improvement that is needed across the produce sector. Since it was formed in 2019, this coalition has collaborated on improving leafy greens safety through discussion, outreach, and sharing of best practices.

The LGSC seeks alignment on best practices where possible to drive change and a commitment to continuous improvement as new science and best practices emerge.
